About/Additional Info: The Sheriff’s Office is home to 90 full and part-time employees, covering a wide range of responsibilities: civil process, emergency communications, court security, prisoner transports, and investigations. On a normal day, Deputies transport inmates from secure facilities around the state to any one of the courts in Rockingham County. Deputies are also out in the county conducting investigations, serving civil paperwork, arrest warrants and assisting local agencies with law enforcement duties or emergencies. Civilian employees of the Sheriff’s Office assist residents and visitors with civil paperwork service, warrant questions, or one of the many daily calls for service coming in to our emergency dispatch center. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office has one (1) location that serves residents in Rockingham County. This is located on the second floor of the House of Corrections on North Road in Brentwood.
