	About/Additional Info:	Ground breaking for SCI Pine Grove occurred May 11, 1998, as part of an administrative initiative to provide the Young Adult Offender population their own Institution. The entire Young Adult Offender Program (YAOP) is run as a therapeutic community providing this unique population the opportunity to mature in a nurturing environment. SCI Pine Grove was officially dedicated on February 23, 2001. The first inmates began arriving January 9, 2001.
