	About/Additional Info:	Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women is a level 3 prison located in Troy Virginia that houses multiple custody levels. This correctional center serves as an intake and classification facility, processing female inmates from surrounding jails into the Virginia Department of Corrections. During intake and classification offenders are assessed, given a custody level, and assigned a more permanent facility with programs that can address the individual inmate's rehabilitative needs. Mental health services are provided to all inmates who require them, and each inmate is assigned a counselor. Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women is comprised of twenty buildings, four of them are designated as general population housing, one is for segregation, another is for mental health and medical services, another is for visitation. Additional buildings are used for vocational training, as a dining hall, an education building, and warehouse. Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women offers adult basic education, GED courses and multiple college level classes. Inmates can also work in the Virginia Correctional Enterprise program which operates and employs inmates in a braille transcription program, an optical lab, data entry, and a tailor shop. Offenders at this facility can receive substance abuse treatment and participate in the MATRIX program.
