About / Additional Info: | The 1st Judicial District includes Jefferson and Gilpin Counties. There are 34 Judicial Officers in the 1st Judicial District, which includes 14 District Court Judges, 10 County Court Judges, and 10 Magistrates. Gilpin County lies in the steep mountain area to the west of Jefferson County. In its prime, Gilpin County was a mining center and there are still numerous mines in the area. |
