Hancock County, Indiana

Hancock County is located in the central portion of the state of Indiana. Named after John Hancock, whose name is most recognized as the largest signature on the Declaration of Independence, and founded in the year 1828, Hancock County has a population of about 80,100 residents as of 2022. The county seat is Greenfield, and its court system is structured to handle a wide range of legal proceedings to maintain justice and order. The regulation of law and order is facilitated via a Circuit Court and two Superior Courts.
