Prince Georges County, Maryland
Established in 1696 and bordering the eastern side of Washington D.C., Prince George's County is located. Named after Prince George of Denmark, the county sprawls over 499 square miles of land area and has its seat in Upper Marlboro. It is home to 957,189 people, making it the second most populous county in Maryland. Part of the Washignton Metropolitan Statistical Area, it is home to numerous government facilities.
